Messenger also has full social network integration so you won’t have any problem connecting to LinkedIn, MySpace or Facebook. If you are in Messenger’s Full View your contact’s social contacts will be visible. When connected, you can share photos and post status updates inside Messenger. The program also imports connect service contacts and has full Facebook Chat integration.

The Messenger program allows you to send contacts messages even if they are offline. And once they come online they will get the message you sent. Also a user can begin conversations even if their status is set to appear offline.

Numerous applications and games are available for Messenger and they are accessible from the conversation window. Users just need to click the icon for games. Once there you can play the game or challenge your friends.

Windows Essentials:

Windows Live Messenger is now part of Windows Live Essentials, a freeware suite from Microsoft that includes other programs. The suite includes security services, blog publishing, the photo-sharing, instant messaging and email. These programs are designed to work well with Outlook, SkyDrive and other Microsoft services.

The current version of Windows Live Essentials includes the following: Windows Photo Gallery, Movie Maker, Live Writer, Messenger Mail, SkyDrive for Windows, Microsoft Outlook Hotmail Connector and Family Safety. Essentials 2012 is available for Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows Server 2008 SP2. There are also versions for Windows Vista and XP.

Even though Messenger has many advanced features it is still pretty easy to use and as you can see it is very easy to disable or uninstall. Expect the program to become easier to use as new versions appear.

  1. Its like you read my mind! You appear to know a lot about this, like you
wrote the book in it or something. I think that you can do with a few pics to drive the message home a little
bit, but instead of that, this is magnificent blog.
An excellent read. I’ll definitely be back.
