Today’s recipe is Papaya and Ginger Jam. We are going to prepare this mouth watering Jam for our break fast. So lets prepare this energetic and delicious Jam.
Ingredients:
- 1 Medium Papaya, approximately 750g (1½lb), not too ripe
- 90g (3oz) preserved Ginger
- ½ Cup Lemon Juice
- 2 Cups Sugar.
How to Prepare:
- Peel Papaya, remove seeds, chop roughly.
- Put Papaya and chopped ginger into pan.
- Add lemon Juice.
- Bring to boil.
- Boil until fruit is tender, approximately 5 minutes.
- Reduce heat.
- Add sugar
- Stir over low heat until sugar is dissolved.
- Bring to boil.
- Boil rapidly uncovered for 25 minutes or until jam jells when tested on cold saucer.
- Stir jam occasionally during cooking time.
- Pour jam into hot sterilized jars.
